Chairman’s Report: Chairman Gallup stated he wanted to call the Boards attention to the Municipal Associations Legislative bulletin.  There are bills that are in the Senate that they have pulled back to study some more.  There was a discussion about the Casino Bill and where it ended up and was located.   The Board inquired of how Barbara Vaughn was doing.  Donna Nashawaty reported she is doing better.  Hopefully, she will be back part time soon.

Town Manager:
•Donna Nashawaty wanted to run it by the Board that the Town Office staff would like to close on the fifth of the July.  The Town will be closed on Thursday for the Fourth of July holiday but many of the staff would like to take the extra day as a vacation time.  No one had any objection.
•Relative to the 4th of July there are many activities on that week from the Parade to the fireworks. Last year Chief Cahill talked to Scott Blewitt about adding some funds to the Recreation Department budget for the ability to hire details.  All of our police officers are on schedule that day so the need for special detail is very much needed.  It became an issue last year when officers were taken away for a domestic and alcohol dispute and were unable to assist with traffic. Chief Cahill is going to attend the next Recreation meeting to discuss the need for safety within the town relative to this event.  Almost 5,000 people attended for the fireworks.  As plans for this are made for the future, it is important the money be put in the budget for police detail as well as fireworks.
•Workplace Violence Training was held in Newbury and Sunapee. Each town hosted a two-hour training center.  There were 18 in attendance in Newbury and 46 in attendance here in Sunapee.  Overall, it went very well.
•Donna Nashawaty updated the Board on the PSNH – Board of Tax Land Appeals.  Donna Nashawaty stated that she recommended hiring George E. Sansousy to do the appraisal for the Board of Tax Land Appeals case.  No one had any objection.
•Montambeault deed has been executed as of May 30th.
•Paving started this morning.
